AJC - Atlanta, Ga -- A consignment sale for special needs children will be noon-8 p.m. Dec. 11-14 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 450 Rockhouse Road. There is a need for all kinds of adaptive equipment such as therapy equipment, standers, wheelchairs, walkers and resources (books, DVDs) for a four-day sale. This event allows the families (or those consigning the equipment) to keep 70 percent of the sale price of what they sell. Net proceeds go to Georgia Special Sportsmen, a group that provides outdoor recreation to Georgia's children.
